Ever heard of a zine? A zine a mini-magazine-of-sorts that is independently made and distributed for free throughout the community. What accumulates in a zine can represent a particular moment in time, poetry, artwork, doodles or simply a collection of ideas. The betterish twist: creating zines that can teach and share information that might otherwise be known as a menu, program or informational guide.
Create a simple step-by-step guide or small compilation on something you feel passionate about: your Grandma’s recipes, your tips & tricks for [enter your own awesome idea here]. Previously made zines from this workshop include “HOW TO MAKE A KALE SALAD” “HOW TO HAVE FUN THIS SUMMER” and, “HOW TO BE KIND ON THE GRIND.”

Wanna learn how to make a cyanotype? Also known as a “sun print,” this old-timey photographic process is a fun one that involves placing objects on special paper and then exposing that paper to sunlight + rinsing with water. Come arrange everything from feathers to funky found objects to create a one-of-a-kind blue print!
